Guesthouse research
Guesthouse is a research started in 2024, on the artistic concept and a movement/creation method. Founded in the research, a series of performance installations will be created.
Guesthouse is a physical performance of the body as a house and the guests that take residence in it. It assumes that our lived experiences leave physiological traces, bodily beyond their actual duration — becoming our guests— who sometimes overstay their welcome. It’s an introspective question of whether one can ever inhabit all the rooms of one's own body house, what kind of guests one currently carries with them, and how hosting them affects the atmosphere of the dwelling.
Our research has been supported by BAU Amsterdam/COME TOGETHER (9) Greenhouse Network, Frascati-Het Verbond, and ICK Artist Space Movement LAB.
